Biracial blues.

I just read an interesting article over at "The Grio" from a writer named Jessy Schuster. It deals with her biracial heritage and what she perceives as the wrong way to approach the subject.

"My French accent has always been source of questions in Miami. Despite my 11 years of residency in the so called "melting pot" city, I have never spent one day in Miami without answering the "where are you from' question. It became my daily routine but as the years passed by I also realized that another question has been thrown at me even before I started talking.

'What are you?', or 'what is your ethnic background?' has become the new rite of passage for any social event I am attending. At the beginning, I was amused by the question as I felt empowered by a mission to educate people on mixed offspring, but the usual reaction I get when I explain that my father is French "from France, and not Haiti", and that "my mother is black from Guadeloupe, a French island in the Caribbean" is what started to really aggravate me.

Mixed children are born with no real same combination of genes and features. I have three sisters and we all display different skin tones, body type and facial features. United Colors of Benetton could have hired us for their international billboards ads. I would have been the light skin woman with kinky hair and a muscular body and prominent behind!

Everyone asked me the question, blacks, white, and Latinos among others, but there is a difference between white people and black people asking the question. The first group will have that surprised look as I announce the "French" part of my heritage, then a high pitch "really?" usually escapes their mouth as they start a cross examination with questions such as "not Haiti? Or a Brazilian background? Are you sure?"

The need to discern where the black features on my face or body come from is always stronger than just accepting my answer. I guess every French person should come dress with a beret and a baguette at hand while singing "La vie en rose" and having Pepé le Pew on a leash.

This is exactly what bothers me when the question comes from a white person. Most of the time, they look disappointed when I explain that I am a mixed child born from a black woman and a white man, as they were expecting a more exotic and interesting explanation.

When I usually return the favor, they often look surprised and simply answer " I'm from here" or "I'm from New York." I have yet encountered someone who would explain "My mother's family came from Poland, and my father's side fled England for a better life in the State, and that is why I am white with green eyes!" So if they don't feel obligated to give me their geological tree story when I ask them, why should I?" [Article]

I think I see where you are coming from Jessy, but I never get questions about my Maroon and Jamaican heritage when people meet me, (except if I break out into deep patois) so I can't really relate.

"What a Feeling!"

"A day after a crowd of violent youths roamed through Center City and randomly attacked two men, the city's top enforcement officials decried the assaults and business leaders called for a stepped-up police presence.

"We will not tolerate marauding, destructive youth terrorizing our city," said District Attorney Seth Williams. "We will prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law, and we are working with the police to find ways to prevent these occurrences."

Four people, including an 11-year-old boy, who took part in the attacks face charges with assault and conspiracy.

They were among a crowd of young people who swarmed the sidewalk at Juniper and Walnut streets about 9:15 p.m. Friday and pounced on a 33-year-old man, punching and kicking him. Police say the attack appeared to be random.
Moments later, at 15th and Sanson, a mob descended on a 59-year-old man and kicked, punched and beat him. This attack, too, was random, police said.
Both men were treated and released at Thomas Jefferson University Hopital.[sic]"[Source]

Flash mobs are nothing new. They have been as popular as cheese steaks here in Philly this year, but at some point we have to get on these [so called] parents a little bit.

The parent [or parents] of that eleven year old ought to have their parenting license taken away. They should also be fined and be made to pay for whatever damage their little domestic terrorist caused our fair city.

The po po has a task force; the DA's office has a task force; and merchants in our fair city are taking these incidents quite seriously. Everyone seems to be serious except the parents of these little monsters. Why? For the record, when you parents do get involved, the results are always good.

And let me get the racial angle out of the way with this issue right now, because I know that it will invariably come up: Yes, these little terrorist are usually young and black, and yes, they usually attack -mostly- white people going about their business.

But this is not because they are out looking for white people per se, this is because white people just so happen to be the ones frequenting the areas that are targeted. There is no plan for a secret racial takeover by way of out of control urban youths. Just bad parents who shouldn't be parents in the first place failing to control their damn kids. So relax my white friends, it's all good. Bad parenting is not limited to one particular race.

Finally, did the permed one sell out to Comcast?

"Al Sharpton is back under the mainstream microscope for a series of conflicting interests regarding his co-sign of the Comcast/NBC merger. The Daily Beast claims that Sharpton’s endorsement, which makes him the first “major” black leader to offer one, came with handsome payoffs both for Sharpton and his primary employer – Radio One.

“The Daily Beast has already reported that just months after Sharpton played a pivotal role in pushing the merger, he became a regular substitute host and appears now to be in line for a fulltime anchor post on Comcast’s MSNBC. As awkward as that coincidence is, how about a conflict of interest he did not disclose in his letters to the Federal Communications Commission – or his other pro-merger activities?” the Beast asks.

The site claims that Sharpton cheered on the merger when it had already paid dividends to Radio One and its affiliate TV One. After the merger, Radio One’s ownership of TV One rose to 50.8 percent, a conveniently timed stock transfer that Comcast admitted to facilitating. Radio One/TV One also became part of the basic cable package in Chicago and Miami after the deal, underlining the benefits that sprung from the companies close ties with each other.

“While Radio One is the largest single shareholder in TV One, Comcast has been its partner since TV One’s inception in 2004 and, until recently, held almost as much stock in the television network, 34 percent, as Radio One, 36.8 percent. In fact, Comcast’s role in the launch of this network, which targets a national black audience, was cited repeatedly by the company when questions were raised about its diversity track record during the yearlong debate about this merger,” the Beast reports.

So not only did Sharpton publically attach himself to a controversial cause that has already indirectly paid him for doing so, he virtually signed away the rights for the media giant to tokenize those African-American news mediums. He has been a much bigger asset politically than he has as a host for both his primary employer and his (possibly) future employer, Comcast/NBC. And this is the man who will soon become a trusted “journalist.”' [Source]

Say it ain't so, Reverend.

Nnamdi is welcome but David Williams is not.

I am a little pumped right now folks; Nnamdi Asomugha just signed with my birds.

That's two high profile free agents we stole from "Zoo Yawk" in the last couple of years. Nice.

Now we have three shutdown corners, let's see how things work out from now on. Welcome to the neighborhood Nnamdi, I hear that you are not only a great player but that you are a great citizen as well. You will do just fine here.

Speaking of welcoming someone to the neighborhood, it looks like some of you Negroes aren't exactly welcome in certain neighborhoods down in Houston.

"A Houston man is alleging that once he moved into his upscale Houston neighborhood, the racism followed.

David Williams, a 24-year-old African American website owner originally from Boston, moved to the Houston neighborhood where homes are valued from $400,000 to $3 million earlier this year.

When he arrived, he said he noticed that people looked at him strangely, but didn’t think about racism too much until he and his friends were denied entrance to the subdivision.

The security guard went on to tell him that he received orders from the top to not let him and his friends in.

“Look, I’m not allowed to let you guys in. We personally don’t have a problem with you, but we’ll lose our jobs.” [Source]

Look Negro, how are those hard working folks supposed to know that you are a business owner from Boston and not some rapper from the Third Ward?
Times are hard out here, we can't have you Negroes driving down our property values.

Finally, isn't A-merry-ca a great country? Where else can you (allegedly) kill your daughter and ask for 1.5 million to talk about it?

Breaking News! The winguts finally got their debt ceiling bill passed.218 votes.
Good for you Mr. Tan Man. But please, let's not hear that it was a bipartisan bill.
I mean just ONE dumbocrat voting for it would have been nice.

So it's on to the Senate. Now let the fun begin.

Debt ceiling, child support, asthma, and panties.

I see that as of me writing this post, Mr. Tan Man has still not gotten enough votes to pass his debt-ceiling bill. The magic number for Mr. Tan Man is 217. Good luck there buddy. You are going to need it tonight. These tea party wingnuts don't care about little things like the future of our country. I swear, some people sure know how to "snatch defeat from the jaws of victory".

Speaking of tea party wingnuts; yet another one of them has some splainin to do:

"(Reuters) - A Tea Party-backed U.S. Congressman who has lectured the U.S. government about getting its financial house in order owes more than $100,000 in child support payments, a lawyer for his ex-wife said on Thursday.
Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh, who was narrowly elected in a Chicago suburban district during the Republican sweep of 2010, denied the allegations and said he would fight them in court.

His ex-wife Laura Walsh failed to receive full child support for about five years from 2005 to late 2010, her lawyer Jack Coladarci told Reuters.
Walsh resumed full payments to support their three children after he was elected to the Congressional seat, which pays a salary of $174,000 per year, the lawyer said.

"These latest attacks against me are false and I will fight them in the appropriate venue," Walsh said in a statement on his web site, referring to the Cook County courtroom where Laura Walsh brought the case. The divorce documents detailing the apparent delinquent payments were first reported by the Chicago Sun-Times.
The attorney for Laura Walsh said the congressman needs to make good on the $117,437 he owes, plus interest.

"Laura is getting help now because he has a job where we can find him," Coladarci said. "But it is difficult to raise three kids, and she is not remarried, and she is supporting them basically on her salary." [Source]

Mr. Walsh, here is how you fight these attacks: PAY YOUR DAMN CHILD SUPPORT!

I wonder if Governor Krispy Kreme is still thinking about running for President? If he is, he might want to make sure that he works on his asthma problem. Maybe if he would spend a little more time in his state and focus on the people's business he could concentrate on staying healthy.

Finally, why aren't some of you who were up in arms about the TSA agents feeling up grandma not up in arms about this story?

"NEW YORK — A Harlem woman is suing JetBlue Airlines after she was kicked off her Florida-bound flight for allegedly wearing no panties.

Malinda Knowles, 27, said she was in shock when a JetBlue employee put a walkie-talkie between her legs to see if she had on any panties.
“I didn’t want to show him anything. He wanted me to basically show him my crotch. I was completely humiliated. It was vulgar. It was macho. It was rude,” said Knowles, who is 27 years old.

She was escorted off the plane at LaGuardia Airport. She was wearing a baggy blue t-shirt over short denim jeans. She was taken to a hangar, where she lifted up her T-shirt to prove she met the dress code.

“‘Oh, she’s wearing shorts,’” the JetBlue fashion police responded, according to Knowles." [Source]

This adds new meaning to the name JETBLUE....let me stop.

I'm out. Oh, and it's 10:30 PM, and there is still no wingnut bill.

Debt feelings.

"I need your help. I can't tell you what it is, you can never ask me about it later, and we're gonna hurt some people.
 ...Whose car we takin'?"

That was Ben Aflleck's character, Dougie MacRay, trying to get his boy to accompany him on a beat down in the movie, "The Town".

It's also the line from the movie that republicans met and chose to watch in order to rally around each other for this debt ceiling debate. Nice. It's apropos, seeing that it is a movie about a bank robbery, and these clowns are holding up A-merry-ca.
Anyway, like a good Negro, my man Allen West volunteered to drive the car. (Because that's what good Negroes do.)

"After showing the clip, Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.), one of the most outspoken critics of leadership among the 87 freshmen, stood up to speak, according to GOP aides.“I’m ready to drive the car,” West replied, surprising many Republicans by giving his full -throated support for the plan."

I'm ready to drive the car, massa. *shaking head*. What is wrong with these Negroes like Star Parker? (h/t to Carlos for this story)

BTW, I have been getting a lot of e-mails about this valedictorian case in Arkansas. And, believe me, it has my racism antenna's up. But could someone tell me if the principal, Derrell Thompson, is a brotha? If he is, he should be jigging right along with Star and Allen. Sometimes your own people can be so much worse than "the man". Mental slavery is a b*&^h.

Speaking of slaves, I bet that the folks in the top 5% income category of this country wishes that we were all their slaves.

Now it's that phony ass preacher, Rick Warren, telling us that half of America pays no taxes. (A lie! I think he meant income taxes, but that's not the point.) The point is that this rich ass phony has joined the rest of the "let them eat cake" crowd by trying to parrot a well used wingnut line.

"HALF of America pays NO taxes. Zero,” Warren wrote. “So they’re happy for tax rates to be raised on the other half that DOES pay taxes.”

The post was interpreted by the popular blog
“Wonkette” as a dig against Americans whose incomes do not qualify them to pay taxes.

The post has since been removed from Warren’s Twitter feed, and he acknowledged that the tweet "did sound mean" in a subsequent
tweet addressed to a blogger who wrote had written a lengthy response."

Folks, make no mistake, this is what this debate is about in Washington. It's why the wingnuts will not budge on their debt ceiling position. They do not want to raise taxes on their wealthy friends.

Meanwhile, GE just decided to send even more jobs to China. The same GE that paid ZERO taxes last year. How ironic that O actually tapped the head of GE to be one of his job creation experts. He is creating jobs alright; just not in this country.

O, when will you learn; stop pandering to these people. I know you wanted to seem like a centrist by dancing with this man, (Jeffrey Immelt) but it won't work. This man, and people like him, only care about lining their own pockets and the company bottom line.

Finally, ( I know I am all over the place tonight, but this debt ceiling crap has me pissed) yet another example of do as I say but not as I do from Washington:

"Like many members of Congress, Rep. Michele Bachmann has been a fierce critic of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, blaming the government-backed loan programs for excesses that helped create the financial meltdown in 2008.
And like millions of other home purchasers, Bachmann took out a home loan in 2008 that offered lower costs to the borrower through one of the federally subsidized programs, according to mortgage experts who reviewed her loan documents.

Just a few weeks before Bachmann called for dismantling the programs during a House Financial Services Committee hearing, she and her husband signed for a $417,000 home loan to help finance their move to a 5,200-square-foot golf-course home, public records show. Experts who examined the loan documents for The Washington Post say that they are confident the loan was backed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.

Seeing problems with the programs — especially the high costs to taxpayers — hasn’t stopped a concerned public or other members of Congress from taking advantage of the lower interest rates that come due to government backing.
Bachmann has been the most outspoken critic of the loan programs and other government subsidies among Republican presidential candidates. Former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty also has called for dismantling Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Experts who reviewed his mortgage documents said that there was no way to tell whether his home loan from 1994 had government backing." [Source]

I think I will head on out to Home Depot to buy a pitch fork.

"The least among us."

Here is a sobering thought for you Negroes: The average *income (that should be *actual wealth and not income. I thank the anonymous commenter for correcting me on that.) for black households in A-merry-ca is $6,000, while for whites it is $113,000.00. Yep. This is the worse it has been since 1984. This recession set white folks back 10 years but it set us blacks folks back over 20 years. So folks, this racial wealth gap is no joke. Wealth in black households fell 54% since this study was done and it fell 16% in white households. Oh, and before you all go blaming O for all of this, just remember that these studies are from 2005.[Study]

So anyway, "Houston, we have a problem". And the problem will continue to manifest itself in ways that you cannot imagine. Kids are not learning in urban schools, and even if they were getting an education; the job prospects for them are really bleak. The head of African American households (usually single mothers with limited job skills and education) are getting laid off, and they are having to depend more and more on a government that is being slashed to the bone by wingnuts and their minions with no clue.

His Oness was on television last night begging the A-merry-can people to call their elected politicians to tell them that we are in deep s&^%, and that unless they (the poli-tricksters)get together to raise the debt ceiling all hell is going to break loose. A-merry-ca will lose it's triple A credit rating (Great, wait for the black man to get in charge before you f&^% with A-merry-ca's credit. Digression alert! You Negroes really need to stop stealing your children and grand children's social security numbers to buy s&^% and then f&^%*ng up their credit before they are old enough to vote.)

Anyway, this is fast becoming a game of chicken. Wingnuts on one side sticking to their plan to derail the government because the tall beige man is the HNIC.
(Forget the fact that voting to raise the debt ceiling has never been a problem before.) And Obamacrats on the other side standing by their man.

But hey, such is life in A-merry-ca; we have to protect the rich and make sure that their taxes are not raised while the peasants and the masses keep voting against their own interest.

I see that my friend Glenn was at it again. This time he compared the kids that were slaughtered by that mad man in Norway to Hitler youth camp attendees.

".. he questioned what the victims were doing at a summer camp run by Norway's ruling Labour Party. Beck said the camp "sounds a little like, you know, the Hitler Youth or whatever. Who does a camp for kids that's all about politics? Disturbing."

Really Mr. Beckkk, you mean like this one? Dope!

Finally, a post wouldn't be a post without a little racism chasing. This one comes by way of the state of Kentucky. (h/t to Monica for e-mailing me about this story)
This is Monica's letter to judge Kattie King:

"Dear Ms. King,

I'm extremely disappointed in how you handled a recent case regarding a young lady in your courtroom. You put this African American woman in jail for five days because you did not agree with her conduct in your courtroom. When I first heard about this incident, I guess I was prepared to see some wild, crazy, behavior. When in fact, all I saw was a young lady who had short personal conversation which you "rightfully" interrupted and then you asked her to leave your courtroom. Since the conversation was over. She went QUIETLY without any disrespect back to her seat. At that point, you escalated this situation. Video: http://alturl.com/cvgwq

On the other-hand, you released a white man, who had FOUR DUI's from jail. Source: http://alturl.com/h4fzm How in the world does someone have Four DUIs and doesn't serve jail time? But a young African American woman who was not on trial, you sentenced to five days in jail because you didn't like her courtroom demeanor. Are you kidding me? Do you not see the racial disparity of injustice. You made sure she WENT TO JAIL. But you allowed a REPEAT DUI offender walk out of the courtroom.

You do not have the maturity, level headed-ed demeanor to hold your position. You are a hot-head who feels the need to put certain types of people in their place. You are not fair and too inexperienced to hold that position. Putting a young woman in jail for five days is extreme. Her behavior did not warrant that type of punishment. For the record, I do not know or have ever met that woman.

Do the judicial system a favor - resign. You are not fit to wear that robe.

Monica Green"

Monica, I doubt if the good judge will even read your letter. But don't worry, I published it here.

Is O showing the sisters enough love? And mass transit blues.

O, you better be careful, you don't want to play with the black female vote. I know that most sisters will still ride or die with you (Mrs. Field included) but you have got to start showing them some love.

Faye Anderson, a friend of mine, and a blogger who I respect, wrote a piece about it, and wouldn't you know it; today I noticed that Dr. Boyce Watkins wrote about it as well.

I saw Faye at a conference down in D.C. and she was telling me that quite a few sisters were pissed at O but none would go on the record. (Unlike moi, Faye is a real journalist.) Now I love Faye, but I am not sure who, exactly, O could have invited to represent the black female civil rights community? And why is this even an issue? Shouldn't we all be uniting around common goals about what is best for our community and A-merry-ca as a whole?
Dr. Watkins disagrees with me:

"Dr.Julianne Malveaux would have been a perfect choice, since you don’t exactly see scores of black women with PhDs in Economics from MIT. Given that the men had gathered to discuss job creation and economic growth within the Black community, I can only imagine that Dr. Malveaux might have something productive to say.

The fact that Dr. Malveaux, along with every other talented Black woman in America, is consistently left to the side in these important conversations should be disturbing to all of us. As we fight for the civil rights of our community, we might want to take a second to realize that we are not immune from the temptation of oppression. With all due respect to the men who’ve taken the time to meet with the president, I grow increasingly disturbed that the powerful Black female political voice has been largely kept in the background. Given that Black men are the most marginalized group of people in American society, it is clear that Black women led the way in building the passionate energy that gave our nation its first Black president.

Adding insult to injury, Dr. Height mentioned to President Obama that it is time that a Black woman be allowed to serve on the Supreme Court. Instead, the Obama Administration barely glanced at the thousands of talented Black female attorneys and judges across the country, and chose another Harvard University alum (Elena Kagan) with a horrifically racist hiring record. Kagan was the right political move, but the wrong ethical move, and President Obama surely knows this.

The goal in making these points is not to bash President Obama or the men who conduct meetings with him. It is to make it clear that Black men must take the lead in insisting that women be allowed to advocate for our community as much as our men. I hope and expect that Jealous, Sharpton and Morial are in agreement. I also hope that powerful Black women will speak up on this issue as well.

When fighting for what is rightfully yours, there comes a time when you no longer need to be diplomatic. Let’s move Black women away from the back of the political bus."

Thoughts?

The next time I go to San Francisco, I will be renting a car. The mass transit po po out there doesn't f&*^ around. Dead for not having a fare? WTF?

And, finally, speaking of mass transit. I know times are tough in A-merry-ca for you Negroes with the recession and all, but you have got to stop taking your anger out on white people. That s&^% is not cool. "Can't we all just get along"?

"A Bronx man was viciously assaulted and robbed on a subway train Sunday by four men who he says taunted him for being white.
Police confirmed they are investigating the assault and robbery of Jason Fordell, 29, but have not labeled it a hate crime.
They are seeking the four assailants, who fled the scene. A fifth passenger who police say spontaneously joined in the attack has been arrested.
"Everyone on the train was egging them on," said Fordell, 29, of the early-morning attack on the 4 train." [Source]

Mr. Fordell, let me be the first to apologize to you on behalf of all peace loving Negroes everywhere. That should not have happened. And, to be fair, if it had been the other way around I would probably be blogging about it. Probably....

Oh ohhh, there is an update to this story:

"Police were unable to find the gang, but they were able to find and arrest 54-year-old Barinthe Ramoutar, who Fordell fingered as the eager straphanger. Last night a judge released Ramoutar without bond.

“It’s simply physically impossible,” Ramoutar’s lawyer, Trudy Strassburger, said of the attack yesterday.

Her client, she says, is a balding fruit salesmen with no criminal record and arthritis, from 24 years working as a welder, so bad he cannot make a fist. She says that the arrest was just a case of mistaken identity.

Fordell identified him on the platform at Jerome Avenue and Fordham Road a good 45 minutes after the attack is said to have occurred.
The judge apparently agreed with Ramoutar’s lawyer enough to release him without bond. However, he still faces charges of robbery, assault and grand larceny.

Meanwhile, the four other attackers, three black men and a hispanic [SIC] man, remain at large—which makes it very hard for police to determine if the attack was in fact racially motivated, as Fordell has claimed.
Also not helpful to his argument?

The fact that Fordell has since admitted that, after being called names, he resorted to racial slurs himself on the fateful train ride. “They’re calling me cracker, and so I called him spic,” a beaten Fordell told WPIX.

When the station then asked, “If you’re using racial slurs, why should police call it a hate crime?” Fordell responded, “because they’re the ones who started with me.” [Source]

Mr. Fordell, those Negroes were still wrong, but your hands were not exactly clean. There was clearly some "color arousal" issues going on (thanks for that word, Francis)and being "color aroused" in certain situations is never good.

That is not a bible in Mr. Breivik's hand.

Talk about a rush to judgement. Just check out this wingnut site (don't miss the comments section) for all the talk of those evil Moooslims right after the [right]wingnut lived out his Glenn Beckkk fantasies in Norway.

Seems my man had his own little manifesto where he decried multiculturalism and all the race mixing and immigrants who are heading to Western European countries.

"Text in the video rails against the 'Islamization' of Europe and 'cultural Marxists' and asserts that the majority of Europe's population will be Muslim by 2050 'unless we manage to defeat the ruling Multiculturalist Alliance.'
"'elebrate us, the martyrs of the conservative revolution, for we will soon dine in the Kingdom of Heaven,' the video says."

Norway has what, four million people? Here in A-merry-ca we have over three hundred million. Hmmm, what are the chances of another Behring Breivik appearing right here in the land of the [only some are]free? I am guessing that it's pretty good. And you all wonder why I am just as suspicious of Bob as I am of Muhammad.

Finally, I thought that it was only places like Louisiana and Texas that suffered from environmental racism. Boy was I wrong. Apparently just up the road from me in New York there are clear examples of the big R "rearing its ugly head."

Folks, don't forget to wear your gas masks the next time you are up in Harlem.

Heat rant.

*You all will have to hang with me a little while I do this post. When it's hot like this outside I tend to rant a little bit. BTW, all of you - the earth is flat- global warming deniers can kiss my a%&. In case you didn't notice, it's 105 degrees in damn near 90% of the country. Dopes! I might not be an expert when it comes to this crap, but I know how I feel when I step outside.

Anyway, where do I start? OK, let me start with the [right] wingnut who killed over ninety people in Norway. Apparently they are calling this attacker their Timothy McVeigh. A true [right] wingnut with nationalist views. So he goes to a labor party youth camp and kills over 80 -mostly- young people. That's like a wingnut going to a DNC Youth Council convention and letting it rip.

Funny, I am looking at the *guy, and I am guessing that there is no way that he would be scrutinized while getting on a plane or buying fertilizer. Hmmm, so maybe it's not just those evil Moooslims who are capable of doing despicable things. I am just saying.

Anywhoo, as is to be expected, the [right] wingnuts are already crying conspiracy and claiming that this guy is not one of theirs. Nice try. But if it shoots like a duck....

I always thought that something stunk over at MSNBC when they got rid of Cenk Uygur so soon. It's not like his ratings were that much worse than any of the other clowns over there. And then I read the following post over at Jack & Jill Politics:

"Uygur often refused to treat members of the political and media establishment with deference and respect. He didn’t politely imply with disguised subtleties when he thought a politician or media figure was lying or corrupt, but instead said it outright. In interviews, he was sometimes unusually aggressive with leading Washington figures, subjecting them to civil though hostile treatment to which they were plainly unaccustomed.
[...]
Uygur explained that, several months ago, he was summoned to a meeting with MSNBC boss Phil Griffin and told that while it is fun and enjoyable to be an “outsider,” that is not what MSNBC is for. Instead, Griffin told him, MSNBC is “part of the establishment,” and Uygur must conduct himself in accordance with that reality. It’s perfectly fine in establishment discourse to express contempt for one of the two political parties. It’s equally fine to periodically criticize your own. But what is most assuredly not fine — particularly in a high-profile nighttime spot and without having a real power base that comes from mammoth ratings — is to be aggressively adversarial to the political establishment itself and the financial interests that fund, own and control that political system. That is what Uygur was, and while there’s no evidence that this was the primary cause of his removal, it was clearly a serious source of dissatisfaction with the station’s executives, including MSNBC’s chief.

Nobody succeeds at a large corporation without understanding and accommodating the prevailing ethos and the interests of that corporation as perceived by one’s bosses. As Uygur explains, the more important someone becomes to the success of a corporation (as Maddow has), the more flexibility they have to depart from, even violate, some of the unstated rules, but no corporate employee — including media stars — will last long if they step too far out (News Corp. even rid itself of Glenn Beck despite declining-though-still-impressive-for-his-time-slot ratings; there were multiple factors, including a successful advertiser boycott, but clearly one factor was that he had departed so far from the standard two-party-system discourse, and had become so adversarial to the establishment itself, that, despite those ratings, it was no longer consistent with News Corp.’s interests to keep him on the air)."

OK, so this explains why they stuck Rev. Al in there. It works every time: stick the black man in there to shut up those who question you.

We will miss Amy Winehouse, girlfriend is dead at 27. She had a big and soulful voice, but sadly, she just couldn't beat her demons.

FYI, if you happen to manage a rock star who likes to dabble in drugs, when they turn 27 you better spend the entire year with them or lock them in a room.

Finally, I have a question for Michele Bachmann: If god did, indeed, tell you to run for president; why didn't you ask her to cure your migraines while you had her ear?

No deal for you Negro!

Rrrrrriing. Rrrrrriing.Rrrrring. "Mr.Boehner, that's coming from the White House, are you going to answer it?" "No, f&^k that nig guy. Let it ring."

Poor O, he can't even get these clowns to answer his phone calls these days. Mr. Tan Man walked away from talks on the debt ceiling and it doesn't look like he is coming back anytime soon. He held a press conference tonight and put down a marker on behalf of his wingnut friends.

I guess O thought that he had my man figured out after a few rounds of golf but he was wrong. He will never be able to get into the mind of a wingnut.

"Obama’s rhetorical floundering is the sound of a bewildered politician trying to be heard over the long, withdrawing roar of ebbing faith in a failing model of governance. From Greece to California, with manifestations in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Illinois and elsewhere, this model is collapsing. Entangled economic and demographic forces are refuting the practice of ever-bigger government financed by an ever-smaller tax base and by imposing huge costs on voiceless future generations.

Richard Miniter, a Forbes columnist, is right: “Obama is not the new FDR, but the new Gorbachev.” Beneath the tattered, fading banner of reactionary liberalism, Obama struggles to sustain a doomed system. Democrats’ dependency agenda — swelling the ranks of government employees, multiplying government-subsidized industries, enveloping ever-more individuals in the entitlement culture — is buckling under an intractable contradiction: It is incompatible with economic growth sufficient to create enough wealth to feed the multiplying tax eaters. " [Source]

O, with all due respect; it's time to double down. Show George Will and others that if this is to be the end of big government we will not go down without a fight. Show them that what the progressive proposes is not "incompatible with economic growth", but by putting people first, it is essential for it to take place.

The people who make up the "entitlement culture" are the fat cats and corporations who have been sucking the life out of this country for their own selfish gains and giving nothing in return. Steve Wynn, for instance, has the nerve to cry a river over Obama's policies hurting his bottom line yet his company had a growth of over 300 million dollars from the same time last year, and his stock prices have more than tripled since 2009. Yeah, some Socialist.

Sorry Mr. Wynn, it seems that the government subsidies Mr. Will complains about has only helped folks like you.

"Obama displayed frustration with the Republicans, saying Boehner had failed to return his phone calls during the day, observing it wasn’t the first time during the debt-limit talks he had been “left at the altar,” and declaring the Republicans had walked away from “an extraordinarily fair deal.”

O, my question to you would be this: Why would you want to get married to those people in the first place?

A couple of days in D.C.

So anyway, I am here in D.C. for this broadband conference and I am surrounded by all these powerful and influential people. The conference organizer is a very smart and hard working guy named Dvid Honig (Georgetown Law the whole nine), and he has done a wonderful job of bringing together everyone with power, money, and influence in the Internet and telecom industry. David is very committed to making sure that poor people and people of color have high speed Internet and broadband access. Right now I am listening to some dude named Aneesh Chopra who is O's director of technology in his Office of Science & Technology Policy....or some such thing.

Anywhoo, now I know why O fails to connect with us folks out here in the real world on so many levels. He has all these smart people around him with all these really great ideas, but they don't really know how to put the nuts and bolts together. They seem to lack street awareness and know how. Just my two cents.

I sat next to Marc Morial at lunch. He seems like cool people, and he gave a really nice speech. Just to make conversation I told him that I would like to interview him for the blog sometime, and he said cool. I felt bad about lying to fam because I really don't interview people. But it's all good. He will forget about his promise by the end of the day. He has much more important things on his plate right about now. I wonder if either him or Ben Jealous will ask O why he is meeting with my brown brothers and sisters and not us black folks?(You Negroes can be so Jealous.-no pun intended-)

I am listening to some brother who sounds like the dude who told Axel Foley that he is not falling for the "banana in the tail pipe" trick in Beverly Hills Cop, and he is going on and on about opportunities for entrepreneurship and innovation in the broadband industry: Blah blah blah blah....I know that there is a point to all of this, but I just haven't figured it out yet. I mean unless your name is AT&T, Verizon or Comcast, I am not sure how you can really be a player here in Washington. Uncle Rupert sure figured it all out. But when you have loot like he does you can start on third base.

Still, it's nice to see that Honig is bringing in all the big boys to make them accountable. Not to mention the fact that he is keeping the spotlight on the FCC so that they don't renege on all the promises that they made to us about minority inclusion when it comes to media ownership.

Anyway, I want to own a radio station. The call letters would be WNOJIG. So let me look around while I am here; I just need some investors to get that bad boy off the ground. "Hello sir, I was noticing your name tag, The Field Negro. Hmmm very provocative. We might have talk about that."

OK, maybe I have to lose the name tag, first.

No end in sight for Uncle Rupert.

I know that I said I would stop bashing FOX NEWS in my posts, but I lied.

Here is a shock, Bill O-Liely is actually sticking up for his Uncle Rupert in these scandals that are rocking the News Corp Empire. Bill seems to think that this is much ado about nothing, and that it is a left wing media "witch hunt" to get to those pillars of virtue over at FOX.

In fact, wingnut central is hardly covering the scandal. But fortunately, the rest of A-merry-ca is starting to take notice.

"You have the New York Times absolutely running wild with the story," he said. "Front page, front page, front page. Column, column, column. Vicious stuff, vicious stuff. And it's all ideological, is it not?"

Bill, they are only "running wild" because it is a big story. Folks, can you imagine if we were talking about Ted Turner or George Soros and not Uncle Rupert? You would see more BREAKING NEWS headlines on FOX than dumb blondes and jigging Negroes.

The folks over at FOX are praying that this scandal will go away, but it won't. I suspect that the stuff going on across the pond is just the tip of a very large iceberg. I hope that we can finally rid ourselves of this scumbag and his evil corporation. Money can buy you a lot, but it can't hide the truth.

Oh, and speaking of scumbag:

"Glenn Beck laughed about the death of a whistleblower involved in the phone hacking scandal and asked listeners to "pray" that Fox News was not involved in the crisis.

On his Tuesday show, Beck joked about the death of Sean Hoare, who was the first journalist to go on the record about the phone-hacking crisis at the News of the World in a 2010 New York Times article. Hoare was found dead in his London home on Monday. Beck said he loved the story of the death.
"I'm not saying that foul play was involved, but it is suspicious that he's dead," Beck said, laughing. (On Tuesday, police categorically concluded that no third party was involved in Hoare's death.)

He then joked that Vladimir Putin was involved in the death, before turning to Fox News, which, like the News of the World, is owned by News Corp.
Beck said he was worried that the scandal would be used by opponents of Fox News to try and bring it down, but that, as far as he knew, there had never been a hint of a scandal at the network.

"Pray that that is so and that they are thwarted," Beck said. "...They will use this and it will shut down."' [Source]

Yes Glenn, I will be praying for FOX NEWS, but I don't think you would like to hear what I will be telling the big guy.

Now it's child that kills parents in Florida, the wingnuts vote to destroy America, and Michele is color aroused.

What the hell is in the water down there in Florida? If you are a parent in Florida you might want to keep an eye on your children.

I was reading about that kid that killed both of his parents and then threw a house party, and I kept thinking about the sad irony of it in relation to the Casey Anthony story.

Here, yet another child kills his parents  down there and this time he (allegedly) throws a party with a bunch of his friends while their bodies was sitting in a bedroom in the house. Sick. And most of you believe that Casey Anthony did the same thing to her child. So instead of the parent killing the child, it's the child killing the parents this time. Either way, it's all pretty f%$#!d up.

I see that that the wingnuts down in D.C. voted to push through a ridiculous-- dead on arrival-- deficit reduction bill, today. Nice. Cut federal spending by six trillion dollars? I don't think so.

"Let me be clear. This is the compromise. This is the best plan out there," said Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, head of a conservative group inside the House known as the Republican Study Committee.

The legislation, dubbed "Cut, Cap and Balance" by supporters, would make an estimated $111 billion in immediate reductions and ensure that overall spending declined in the future in relation to the overall size of the economy.
It also would require both houses of Congress to approve a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution and send it to the states for ratification."

Let's hope that there are some grown ups in the senate and that they can find some type of compromise. Those wingnuts are...well, nuts!

Finally, I see that Michele Bachmann is blaming the black man for the problems surrounding the floods in the Midwest. ( I swear we get blamed for everything.) It's a smart political move. It should help to unify her base around a common theme: bigotry.

This might be my last post bashing FOX, and Herman is at it again.

Guys, please remind me to stop f*&^%^g with Uncle Rupert and FOX NEWS.

"LONDON (Reuters) - A former journalist who told the New York Times that phone hacking at Rupert Murdoch's now defunct News of the World was more extensive than the paper had acknowledged at the time, has been found dead, media reported on Monday.

Police said they were not treating the death as suspicious.

Sean Hoare, a former show business reporter at the News International paper, part of News Corp, had also told the BBC he was asked by former editor Andy Coulson to tap into phones.

Coulson has denied being aware of any wrongdoing at the paper.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but not thought to be suspicious. Police investigations into this incident are ongoing," Hertfordshire police said in a statement. They would not confirm the identity.

British media reported that Hoare, who was dismissed for drink and drugs problems, had been found at his home in Watford, north of London.

Coulson was taken on by David Cameron as his communications chief in 2007, before he became prime minister.

Coulson quit the paper in 2007 after one of its reporters was jailed for secretly listening to phone messages of royal household staff to get scoops on the Queen's family.

Coulson quit his job with Cameron in January this year.

A story in the New York Times last September said the practice of phone hacking was widespread, and Hoare told the BBC the former editor had asked him to snoop on phone messages." [Source]
"Not treating the death as suspicious"? WTF? I am looking at my man's pic and I am guessing that he didn't die from natural causes. Something stopped his ticker from ticking.  "Field, how dare you imply that the folks over at FOX are capable of murder? This is a new low, even for you."  (I just thought I would save the winguts the trouble of having to write that.) Yes, it would be low of me to think that Rupert and his cabal are capable of murder. Just as it would be for someone to hack the phones of 911 victims, dead soldiers, and murdered girls. Wait...oh never mind.

Finally, I see that my man Herman Cain is up to his old new tricks. Poor Herman, the guy is trying so hard to be relevant. I guess he figures that if he shocks our conscience we will have no choice but to pay attention to him. Not! Herman has become a running joke. And the longer he continues the more ammunition he will give to the anti affirmative action crowd. How could a nitwit like that ever become CEO of a neighborhood lemonade stand let alone a major A-merry-can corporation?

Herman, instead of banning Mosques, we should be banning stupid people from running for president.

No World Cup and no boyfriends.

I watched the women's World Cup soccer final today along with millions of other folks. As someone who considers himself somewhat of an aficionado of the "beautiful game", let me say for the record that those ladies can play.

Congrats to Japan on their stunning upset of the Americans. Their country has had a rough year and the poor folks needed a lift.

Still, I feel bad for the American goalie, Hope Solo. Girlfriend is a little field Negroish, (I know that's not a word, so spare me your e-mails) so I was hoping for the best for her.

Oh well ladies, better luck next time. We will see you again in four years.

Finally, I saw the following article over at The Fresh Express, and I wanted to get some of your opinions about it: (Especially the ladies.)

"Ok so as I was watching my girl Judy on TV the other day, you all may know her as Judge Judy, yeah her, she was dealing with a baby mama drama case where the girl wanted some money from her baby daddy. The girl was telling her side of the story and in the beginning said that she and her baby’s father had broken up and she put him out due to “marijuana usage”.

So later in the girl’s story she said that after they reconciled the guy cheated on her and I thank God that my girl Judy cut her up for that. She told her that that was a lie basically because for one, she kicked him out; secondly, they were not married, so there’s no way “cheating” took place.

What I’m getting to here is, what the hell is a boyfriend?! I know previously as a culture we decided that by like mid-20s that word should be abolished but I’m proposing it be abolished after high school. Please tell me what a boyfriend/girlfriend is and how it fits into your journey to become a man/woman because I don’t see it. I stopped believing in that boyfriend-girlfriend thing right after high school.

Boyfriend/girlfriend is a title. That’s it. In no way, shape, or form does it signify commitment. Y’all can keep getting tricked into being “wifey” or his “girlfriend” forever if y’all want to, but I’m taking a different route. We all know one too many “girlfriends” that wouldn’t be so self-righteous if they knew what their “boyfriends” were really up to.

The way I see it, getting a guy to commit to this title first does not, nor has it ever guaranteed that you will see a ring, so why commit yourself to someone that’s not going to be around ‘till death do you part?

Ain’t gone happen over here.

One day I was just thinking and was like, “Ok so I want a guy to kick it with all the time and maybe do a little bump and grind,” but then I was like, “I’m a busy girl. I don’t have time to maintain a real relationship right now,” and then I was like, “and even if I do get me a man, I’m not trying to be his girlfriend forever and ever, we’ll eventually have to break-up if he doesn’t propose around the time I’m ready to settle down or he’ll cheat or we’ll grow apart.”

Then it hit me, why should I even have to go through that for a maybe? This ain’t spades and I ain’t putting no money on no possibles.

To me, commitment is a guy going out and getting a ring, asking my friends if they like it, discussing it with his boys and our families, then nervously getting down on one knee in a super cute setting that he planned out on his own.

Anything other than that is redundant. Why should I ever be stressed about a relationship that isn’t recognized by anybody’s God, nor does it affect my taxes? I shouldn’t. Nobody should.

Now don’t get me wrong, I understand that you can’t control when you fall in love and I’m not suggesting that you postpone the feelings until marriage and I’m definitely not saying that slutting until then is acceptable but chill out.

What is the point in fully committing to someone you may or may not spend your life with? You can figure out if you want to marry that person without a title. As a matter of fact, that’s a better way to do it because there’s no reason to lie to each other about anything if you don’t “go together.”' [Full story]

I guess I want your opinions, because, now that I think about it, I really don't understand what girlfriend is trying to say.

Help!

"Straight Outta Compton"?

If any of you Negroes are free on the 24th of this month you might want to head to Los Angeles to join a march led by my man Jesse.

'LOS ANGELES, July 14, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- The newly formed black led South Central L.A. Tea Party group will hold a major rally to expose the lies and misinformation of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) during its102nd annual convention in Los Angeles on July 24. The purpose of the rally is to bring attention to the failed liberal big government agenda of the NAACP and to expose their lies and hypocrisy on race issues.
Who: South Central L.A. Tea Party
What: Rally to expose the failed big government agenda and lies of the NAACP
When: Sunday, July 24, 2011, from 2-4 p.m.
Where:1201 S Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90015 (Outside the L.A. Convention Center- West Hall).

"The NAACP is a tool of the Obama administration," said founding member and President of BOND Action, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson. He added, "For decades, this group has supported left-wing policies which have created dependency, destroyed black families, and hurt race relations." Rev. Peterson cited the following examples:

  • NAACP spreading lies about the Tea Party movement. NAACP has made numerous false allegations of 'racism' against the Tea Party movement, but has yet to provide a shred of evidence backing up their baseless claims.
  • Support for failing public schools and unions. The NAACP has aligned itself with the United Federation of Teachers to block 22 of the worst performing schools in New York City from being shut down. This has put them at odds with thousands of black parents in Harlem who support replacing these failing public schools with charter schools.
  • NAACP's hypocrisy on crime and race. The NAACP has remained silent while black thugs attack white Americans and commit crimes in flash mobs across the country -- but
NAACP President Benjamin Jealous says he's "deeply concerned” with the lack of black news anchors on Television.
  • The NAACP supports black genocide. As an ally of Planned Parenthood and abortion on demand, the NAACP has aided and abetted in the death of some 15 million black babies since the Supreme Court's 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling legalizing abortion.
This event is open to all Tea Party supporters and like-minded patriots of all races."

Whoops, I think this is the wrong Jessie.

Wait, did they say South Central L.A. Tea Party? Oh Lawd! Now I done seen it all.
Isn't  that like saying a Jamaican ski club?

Anyway, it should be interesting. If any of you make it to the rally please holla at your boy. I would love to hear how it went down.

Rupert's "Ministry of Public Enlightenment"

I can't believe that people in this country still believe that FOX News  is a legitimate news organization.

"As the U.K. phone-hacking scandal continues to engulf News Corp's British segment, one of the company's top-performing assets in the U.S. is enjoying a bit of unrelated vindication.

Rewind to October 2009: Fox News Channel and the White House were at war. In one particularly heated incident, Fox claimed the Obama administration had tried to oust the "fair & balanced" network from an interview with Treasury official Kenneth Feinberg, when the other four news nets in the TV coverage pool had been offered access. In the end, Fox was included, and a Treasury Department spokesman snarled: "There was no plot to exclude Fox News, and they had the same interview that their competitors did. Much ado about absolutely nothing."

Emails that surfaced last week, however, through a public records request by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, suggest otherwise.
"We'd prefer if you skip Fox please," a White House broadcast media staffer advised a Treasury Department public affairs secretary ahead of the interview. In other emails during the same time frame, deputy White House communications director Jennifer Psaki called Fox News anchor Bret Baier "a lunatic" and boasted that "I am putting some dead fish in the fox cubby--just cause." In yet another email, another White House press officer wrote: "We've demonstrated our willingness and ability to exclude Fox News from significant interviews …"

Proof of an anti-Fox agenda in the Oval Office? Judicial Watch thinks so.
"These documents show there is a pervasive anti-Fox bias in the Obama White House," said Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton in a statement. "The juvenile Mafioso-talk in these emails has no place in any White House. For the Obama administration to purposely exclude a major news organization from access to information has troubling First Amendment implications." [Source]

"News Organization"? Mr. Fitton, you are either being well paid by Rupert Murdoch or your organization has some very powerful illegal drugs hidden somewhere.

Sorry, but when I read articles like this and watch clips like this; I start to think that straight news is the last thing that FOX wants to give the public.

The FOX agenda is not to report the news to us in a straightforward fashion,it is to give the news they report a conservative slant and to influence and brainwash the A-merry-can people into their way of thinking. Goebbels would be proud.

So far, at least for 25% of the A-merry-can public, it seems to be working.

Just another day in America.

"A Negro's body was found on the outskirts of a small Mississippi town. The victim had been bound hand and foot, stabbed seventeen times, and had six bullet wounds in his body. "What's your verdict, sheriff?" asked a reporter. "Worst case of suicide I ever saw!" replied the lawman."

The following story from Connecticut reminds me of the joke you just read.

"Stamford Connecticut police have identified the body of a young woman found naked and dead under a tree this past Saturday.
Jasmine Brown, 21, [IN PIC] moved to New York from New Orleans a year ago to attend the Art Institute of New York City. Police believe the aspiring designer either fell or jumped to her death from the tree." [Story]

Fell or jumped from a tree? WTF? Suicide by tree? Sorry, I think the po po might have a little more work to do on this one.

It seems that when all else fails the republiclowns are reverting to the angry black man meme. Poor O, he tried so hard not to seem angry and black to those folks. He tried so hard to fit in.  I swear that sometimes I thought that was Wayne Brady in the White House.

Eric Cantor said O got angry and stormed out of the debt ceiling talks.(Because we all know that you Negroes-even the half ones-can't keep your tempers in check.)

"The President lost his temper and abruptly ended the meeting by walking out of the room." Ahhhh, poor Eric. The mean black man walked out on you? Well stop interrupting him when he is trying to talk next time.

Anyway, it so happens that Cantor's account of what happened isn't even true.
(A republiclown lying. So what else is new?) "... a Democrat offered a different view to the Los Angeles Times: “Left abruptly is perfectly fair," said the official. "But the meeting was over—in no sense did he walk out on it." Hmmm, I wonder who I am going to believe? I will give you a hint; it ain't the people who got us into this mess in the first place.

"Where is the beef?" In the garbage disposal.

Some people sure can be cruel. I have a confession to make: My man johnson has taken a direct hit on the chin a time or two in his life, and it hurt like hell. In fact, the pain was damn near unbearable.

Which leads me to Mr. Kieu: ( I think that's his name.)

"Kieu and her husband were still living together in a Garden Grove condo that he owned. He had filed for divorce in May, and they argued before the attack about friends staying at the condo, authorities said.

On Monday night, police say Kieu spiked a meal and served it to the victim.
The 60-year-old man started to feel sick and went to lie down, then awoke tied to the bed as Kieu attacked him with a 10-inch kitchen knife, police said.

She then put the penis down a garbage disposal, police said.
"It's hard to believe what would motivate a person to do this sort of thing," the district attorney's chief of staff, Susan Kang Schroeder, said outside court. "It's one of the worst things you could do to a person short of killing him."
Newly appointed defense attorney Lee Gabriel made no public statement after the hearing.

Police did not release the victim's name. He underwent surgery and was listed in good condition at University of California at Irvine Medical Center, hospital spokesman John Murray said.

Murray declined to say whether the penis was reattached or provide any additional details about the victim's condition, citing patient privacy laws.
Kieu was charged with one felony count of torture, one felony count of aggravated mayhem and sentencing enhancements for great bodily injury and personal use of a knife. If convicted of all counts, she could face life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Garden Grove Police Lt. Jeff Nightengale said Kieu called police Monday night to report a medical emergency and told arriving officers "he deserved it" before pointing to the room where the victim was found bleeding profusely. She was taken into custody without incident and refused to talk to officers further.

The couple was married in December 2009. When the victim filed for divorce, he cited irreconcilable differences, court records show. Kieu was slowly moving her things out of the condo, authorities said.

The victim declined to comment when he was reached by phone Tuesday by The Orange County Register.

"This is a private matter," he said.'[Story]

"Private matter"? I don't think so Mr. Kieu. With all due respect, this is a very public matter. Every one of us out here who share that particular body part with you.....wait, I take that back.... Everyone of us out here who share that body part that you used to have are affected by this story. It was painful just reading about it. I swear this adds a whole new meaning to the term ground beef.

I know that "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned", but ladies, even you all have to admit that this was a bit much. Please tell me that girlfriend isn't starting a new trend. And why did she have to put the poor man's pleasure stick down the garbage disposal? I mean that's like adding insult to injury. Couldn't she have just thrown the damn thing away like Lorena Bobbitt? I guess she wanted to make sure my man never used it again. It's amazing what they can do with modern science these days.

I have some protective athletic cups around here somewhere. I think I will start wearing those bad boys to bed.

Finally, I loved this Harold Meyerson article on the republiclowns war on government. Make no mistake, it is a war,but it is one that they will ultimately lose. Why? Because at some point people will wake up and realize that they are being hoodwinked. Not all the people, just enough folks to vote their asses right back out.

I know it when I see it.

I see that Michele Bachmann and company are trying to save A-merry-ca from things such as porn and Gay Marriages. Nice. That's it Michele, keep fiddling while Rome burns.

Honestly, this s*&^ isn't even funny anymore.

"This debt limit increase is his problem and I think it's time for him to lead by putting his plan on the table"

"His problem"!? No Mr. Speaker, it is all of A-merry-ca's problem. But this is what happens when a weasel plays politics and tries to appease the people on the fringes in his party. He didn't want to seem weak, and he wanted to stand up to the big bad beige man in the people's house. So rather than do what's right for the country, we get this "his problem" rhetoric.

“My message to the White House over the last several months has been real simple: The spending cuts have to be larger than the increase in the debt ceiling. Secondly, there are no tax increases on the table, and, thirdly, we have to have real controls in place to make sure this never happens again; real controls like a balanced budget amendment.”

"Never happens again"? Oh that's right, I almost forgot; it happened SEVEN TIMES under the last president, who was a...wait for it.....wait for it....Republican!

Anyway, we have until August 2nd before the s*&^ really hits the fan. That is when our esteemed Treasury Secretary, Timothy (I came from the Bartles & Jaymes charm school) Geithner, says that we won't have any more money available to pay our debts. Not good. So far we have been able to pay them by using "extra ordinary measures". (I think that means borrowing from pension funds and stuff) but for all of you who don't know; we already reached our debt limit back in May.

So here is what we can look forward to if the republiclowns don't get their act together:

The stock market will do a serious Greg Louganis.
There will be hyper inflation so our interest rates will go up and loans and credit will dry up.
Credit drying up is not a good thing. Business will have to lay off folks because they can't get loans from banks to carry out their day to day operations.
The interest rates in your credit cards will go up.
Grandma and grandpa won't get their social security checks.
The folks in the government (including the military) won't get paid.
Planning a vacation this summer? Forget it. Your dollar will be worthless in other countries.

In other words, it will all be just like the republicans want it. How else are they going to get control of the White House?

You know who would make a great porn star? John Boehner. He already knows how to f*&^ people.

Read two Playboy magazines and call me in the morning.

I know that from time to time it might seem like I am being flip when I post. But tonight I have a serious question for some of my republiclown friends: Do you really expect me to consider voting for Michele Bachmann for president when she signed on to a pledge that said black babies were better off under slavery because they were born to a two parent household?

"Slavery had a disastrous impact on African-American families, yet sadly a child born into slavery in 1860 was more likely to be raised by his mother and father in a two-parent household than was an African-American baby born after the election of the USA’s first African-American President." Ok Ok, I know that when we were slaves we at least had jobs; but we didn't even get paid minimum wage back then.

And you wingnuts wonder why my cousins can't get under your tent with you.

And, speaking of Ms. Bachmann, I see that her hubby is being called out for running a scam clinic where he says that he can cure Gays by praying for them. ---Because we just can't have those "Barbarians" running around with the rest of us good Christian folks. "Ex Gay Therapy" is what I think he calls it. (Hmmm, I wonder if it worked for him? )

I started this post with a question, and I will end it with one for Marcus and his crazy ass friends: Marcus, if you think that by praying you could actually change someone from being Gay to hetro, why don't you use your prayers for more important things like bringing us world peace and fixing our damn deficit problem?
